My favourite piece from the John Cage Prom was this:

No recording will give the piece justice, as you can’t experience the erie surround sound that was created by hidden singers. Only one soloist (the woman in my sketch) was visible, whilst all the others were dotted around the Royal Albert Hall behind curtains - it was fantastic!

And here’s a couple more sketches, because I’m feeling generous.

Here - have some drawings done INSIDE THE LONDON 2012 ATHLETES VILLAGE!

I went to the John Cage BBC Prom about a week or so ago - it was brilliant! Managed to have a good sketching session during it too.

Thought I’d share these sketches I did whilst watching the Wimbledon final on the tv.

Well done Federer!

(Also, Fish is my pet cat, just to clear things up a bit.)

I visited my friend in Stroud this week. It was really lovely to see her, and meet her and her boyfriend’s two kittens!

I did these two sketches whilst on the train to Stroud. They’re both pretty rough, but I was more focused on the therapeutic act of drawing at the time than I was creating a polished piece (but then again, are any of my drawings ever polished pieces?). Also, I’ve developed a habit recently of drawing the fawn from the ballet L’Apres midi d’un Faune, as you can see. He’s incredibly fun to draw actually, because of the constant sideways stance the dancers hold themselves in throughout the ballet.

Actually did some drawing, after a bit of a break: I’ve been going through some emotional rubbishness recently, which had left me with no inspiration at all.

Time heals everything though, and I’m itching to get working again!

Next major step is to buy some books on chance for my dissertation next year - there are some really interesting books out there! Only thing is it’s going to cost me a small fortune, but that’s uni for you.

And more!
Not sure whether to put a background in though…

Working on my entry for the Cheltenham Illustration Awards (whoever decided to extend the deadline: THANK YOU SO MUCH). What started out to be an illustration depicting my own personal charms and amulets (to fit in with the theme this year) has turned into a rather disturbing self portrait - why does this always happen to me?

I’m going to go with it though, as I actually quite like it. Let’s see where this leads.

Feedback is very welcome :D
